Herbs And Spices - Springerle Vi

Soft at first, these cookies harden into 'dunkers' after about 3 weeks. (Yes, they keep a long time!) They need a mold for the traditional Pennsylvania Dutch cookie, but I bet that they can be made by simply cutting them out. You can substitute other flavorings for anise - lemon and almond are good.

Breakfast And Brunch - Super Easy Jelly Doughnuts

Mini jam sandwiches coated in batter and deep fried until puffy and golden brown. You may use any jam you like, or try substituting butter and cinnamon sugar for variety. Either way, the ingredients are almost always on hand, and they reheat in the oven well, too. Couldn't be easier, and the kids will love them!

Desserts - Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

I modified Beatrice's Excellent Oatmeal cookies very slightly. I came up with something that my boyfriend went CRAZY over! I've never seen him enjoy cookies to that extent! He said I blew his mother's recipe away.
